As we celebrate Father’s Day this June, we’re honoring the strength, dedication, and love of all the amazing dads out there—like Abdullahi, a hardworking father of three whose chiropractic journey at Health + Healing Chiropractic in Mississauga transformed his life and helped him become the dad he always wanted to be.
Abdullahi works in construction for the City of Toronto, a job that placed intense strain on his body. Before starting chiropractic care, he experienced chronic headaches, lower back pain, joint discomfort in his shoulders, knees, and ankles, and constant muscle aches. The pain made it difficult to stay active, especially with his children who were just 3, 7, and 8 years old at the time.
“The pain didn’t allow me to be with my kids and be active. Everything was negative. I wanted to make a dramatic change.” - Abdullahi
Despite relying on muscle relaxants for two years, he wasn’t getting the relief he needed. The constant discomfort affected his family life and made everyday activities feel impossible.
Abdullahi’s decision to begin chiropractic care with us was the breakthrough he’d been searching for.
“Without chiro, I wouldn’t have changed my lifestyle. Chiropractic is the best decision I’ve ever made health-wise.” - Abdullahi
Since beginning care, Abdullahi has experienced freedom from medication, better sleep, increased energy, and a renewed sense of positivity. He’s now more active, mobile, and present with his children—able to truly enjoy fatherhood again.
Tasks that once felt difficult are now easy.
“Driving… I can turn my head all the way both ways now,” Abdullahi says. “My posture has improved, and I’m standing straighter.”
He’s regained full mobility, and with it, his independence and confidence.
With chiropractic care as the foundation for his renewed health, Abdullahi is not only able to keep up with his kids—he’s thriving.
“I want to keep up with my kids, be there for them and provide for them.” - Abdullahi
His story is a beautiful reminder of how prioritizing health can reignite purpose, connection, and possibility—especially for fathers who give so much of themselves every day.
